CS-5050? Not a HyPass model.

It must have a little "i" in the model number to use HyPass.

Copystar says it is a hypas machine and it does have the application button.

At least as far as Kyocapture is concerned a CS-5050 is a non-Hypas machine.

This is from the KMA Connect site:
HyPAS-Enabled Devices:
Select Kyocera MFPs have the capability to use HyPAS technology for the development and integration of strategic business solutions, including the TASKalfa 520i / CS 520i, TASKalfa 420i / CS 420i, TASKalfa 500ci / CS 500ci, TASKalfa 400ci / CS 400ci, TASKalfa 300ci / CS 300ci and TASKalfa 250ci / CS 250ci. Certain HyPAS applications are backward compatible with select Kyocera MFPs including KM-5050 / CS-5050, KM-4050 / CS-4050, KM-3060 / CS-3060 and KM-2560 / CS-2560.

You will notice that they state that the CS-5050 IS a HyPAS enabled device so it SHOULD work. Which applications is the question. The link to the full list of CS-5050 compatible applications was, wait for it --- Yes, broken. Your reality, however, may differ from Kyocera's. ;-)

You read that wrong. Certain HyPas applications can work with the CS-5050, but the CS-5050 is not a HyPas enabled copier. Only the models with an "i" in the name are fully HyPas. Your application is pretty obviously not one of the HyPas apps that is compatible.

Wouldn't it be nice if they told us which applications will work?

It would be nice to know what application we're talking about here too?

Relax? When?!

Thanks that would answer my question. The program is a connector program for a scan/file solution we sell. It has been tested on the kyocera machines but i guess it would need to be a model with full blown hypas. Thanks again.
