I have only a layman's understanding of this protocol. Any opinions on having it OFF or ON?

Thanks in advance

For what?

Inevitably I am asked by sales to explain something that might give them an edge. In newer models SSL is in the Network Security settings.

Factory default has it OFF, where I would assume just leave it.

But any insight would be appreciated.

SSL might be useful if your customer is really worried about someone hacking into the printer throught the web interface and changing settings. I know i get really annoyed when people turn on Ecoprint...

But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.
