Having problems finding where or if you can turn on Department codes on a Mac 10.2. Getting Dept. Codes Mismatch when trying to print from a Mac, the rest of the office is Windows.

access via cups 127.0.0.1:631 click on configure printer.....extras and mangement codes should be in the list....

What login Id Do you use for Cups? is there a default name and pass. As I took a look at this cups for the first time and Iam login on my mac as administrator name and pass, But when I go to Configar the printer is is asking me for a login ID and pass word. Cups has never been used before on this Mac so i think there is some default name and pass but i dont know what it is

But Iam having trouble with loging in to any printer with cups , It is asking me for a name and pass word from cups to login and config. to any printer. The only pass word i have is the administator login for the mac osx

The logon you need is user of the mac with admin level rights, it is not a cups logon....sorry for the misinterpretation...it was a long day. If still cant access, check users/passwords and change as required.
