Have older Kyo machines that use the sfu.
Set these up to scan, but only can get it to ID with an IP. How do you get it to comm. with a host name? They don't want to shut off DHCP. Also, another question, Can mac do SMB? |

Good luck. If you have a way to get into their DHCP server (or possibly the router), try to see if you can assign a static IP to specific MAC addresses (and I don't mean Mac when I type MAC
I have a customer with some mixed versions of OS-X and it's a nightmare. The 2 MacBooks get taken on the road and not only will the IP's change, but the hostnames also. One of the features of OS-X DHCP behavior, the DHCP server can control both the IP and hostname. ================================================== Chris L's Hiking/Geocaching blog (new and improved!) yoyoartist.blogspot.com |

FYI - if scanning with DHCP you've got better odds of it working if the NS-30 is also set to DHCP....
Relax? When?! |
