I have a customer that has a communication code 420.Service manual says bad transmitter,sc pcb or fxb pcb.Has anyone been having issues with these fax machines?

Have changed out sc and fxb boards and still having 420 communication problems.ma bell came out and checked the line and of course they said it was not their end. I know someone out there has to be having this issue because I have about 5 of these having this problem!!! Come on guys fess up.

I've only got 2 in the field, at the same customer. Our fax business has been dropping off in this age of email. Tend to sell fax systems in new copiers.

I did have some bad communication errors there early on, but don't recall the exact errors. It is a rural location, a trucking company. Figuring on some iffy phone lines and noise (the phone company holds themselves to very low standards on this) I disabled v.34 communication, stepped back to 9600 bps on initial speed. I do this at a lot of places with constant, various G3 communication errors.

Thanks for responding.I have already set v34 to off and slowed down recv and tx speed to 9600.also have replaced the sc and fxb board and still haveing the issue.Have put in a KM-F650 and it had no trouble.Go figure still having an issue. Finally ordered 2nd line option to see if this resolves this matter.
