Installed Print/Scan System on a KM-5035 and went smoothly. I upgraded the copier firmware, NS-30, and print system. Printing is fine, and setup of 5 workstation for scanning is ok. And the problem is when scan to pc as pdf or tiff, opening it says"insufficient data for an image". SFU is v31711. I tried to just write something on a paper and scan it to pc and opens fine but when i tried to scan more image on paper it gives me the message. looks to me, its a memory problem. I spent time to flash copier firm (maybe it's corrupted) but still no results. This copier is one of the 1st batch of KM-5035 (serial #xxxx738). Any suggestions where to address this problem.. early thanks for everyone....
When you say "Opening It" I take it that means opening the image on the PC it was scanned to. What is your default DPI set for? Maybe the PC(s) that is opening it is the problem and needs upgraded or maybe the DPI is set too high and creating a large file. We usually default or scans to 200x200 DPI and set it to "TEXT" unless the customer requests otherwise.
When I open the scan documents thru SFU or thru paperport on all 5 workstation plus my laptop, they have the same message..BTW, DPI is 200x200 dpi and text. Also, i tested the NS-30 card at the office before i installed it. This is the 2nd card i tried .And in fact,I installed hard drive to see what's the difference, and with a pen writing on a blank paper (12kb), it open fine but if i add more letters and text (20kb) it won't..
I replaced the engine pcb board and that resolved my problem . Tried to installed the board to another machine and it has the same problem. But the board is still running ok with Print system.. So, this board is only good to install on machine that don't need Scan system.. But, still, THANKS to everyone who suggested good info.
