I have a customer with a new 64 bit processor laptop on windows vista and cannot find a network fax driver for this. Does anyone know a way around this?

64 bit operating systems can run 32 bit programs, but not 16 bit programs.
64 bit operating systems REQUIRE 64 bit drivers.
Network fax is a little bit of both - software and driver. That being said, it surprises me that this isn't updated yet. It makes me wonder if the programs are 16 bit and that's what is holding things up.
I would suspect that the Voyager drivers would be the most likely to work with Falcon I & II Products, since they have NS-30's. I know the KM1820 uses a KPRINT port - not sure if that is updated too.
Noticed that these are also available for current models on the U.S. website. If you need them for a Falcon I/II, I think the KM-2050 driver should work.
Just noticed the KM-2050 isn't there either.
I have pieced together a driver that looks like it should work for the legacy models. You can download it here.
I don't have any way to test these, so somebody please let me know if they work. (I know they will install - just don't have equipment in stock to test them with). This message has been edited. Last edited by: Scotty,
Not sure what model copier you are working with but you have to browse to the folders on the disk and install that way on the 3050's. I have a Windows Vista 64 bit on my computer and it works fine. I do not use the Kprint port either I went straight TCPIP.
We just got through testing and it installed but the network fax address settings will not pop up to add fax number, will keep you informed if we get it to work

Another user has used a KM2530 fax driver with a Voyager machine - so it should work the other way around too - use the 64 bit Voyager driver for your legacy machines.
I did a bunch of digging through the driver package I set up and haven't been able to figure out why it doesn't pop up the dialog...
I've debated setting up a driver package that just lists the other models but is actually using the Voyager drivers. Don't know if that's of interest to anyone - it would just make deployment for the customers look better (like KMA is keeping these up to date - KM-2050's a current model and it doesn't have a 64bit driver!)
Anyway, I don't think that would be difficult to set up. When I get some time I look at it again.
Thanks for letting us know the Voyager one's work.
