i've got a 3900dn set up as a shared resource on the network through a parrallel port. Just got off the phone with tech support. The system was shut down this weekend and when they came up this morning; everything from the last 2 weeks came pouring out of the que again. The driver settings are not set to save anything and tech support has heard of the problem but has not heard of any solution other than buying a small hub and changing the connection. The cust wants to know why they have to do this when it worked fine using their old hp printer in this configuration. Can anyone help me out on this one

Just a thought. Could it be a bidirectional deal? Of course you would need an IEEE 1284. I have seen and solved this issue on a FS-1000. However, a customer mentioned this to me today on a FS-2000. I didn't think to check the cable. The solution I found for the FS-1000 did not work. Big help I am.

I had the same problem on a FS-1010. Updated the driver to the latest and greatest at the time and it resolved the issue. With that said, you may try going backwards with the driver version if you already have the latest version.
