This machine is driving us nuts. Put a sheet in the document feeder and hit print...sheets feeds about 3/4 of the way then machine goes completely dead. Turn off/unplug and wait about five minutes. Machine will fire up again. Occassionally you can get 1 or 2 copies through it before it dies. Usually won't even give you one though. Seems to be just as sheet passes the second paper switch. Will copy from the glass all day long. Have swapped document feeder, and main board. Anyone run into this before?

Foos, we used to sell samsung but ran into to many issues with their newer equipment, and a lack of good tech support. We still service what is out in the field though. Have not had that particular problem (model) but, we had one where the customer had a leaking roof and the machine would shut off randomly and would shut off when you closed the cover sometimes. During troubleshooting I had taken off some covers and saw a totally corroded main board, and started asking some questions, looked up at the ceiling and sure enough the tiles were discolored. Seems like when machines, any machine shut off randomly I personally suspect the power supply.

We ordered a power supply for it a couple days ago. Turns out that the machine would shut off even when just making multiple copies off the glass. We had only witnessed it when using the feeder but have now seen it shut down using either method. We'll see how the power supply does.

I have replaced power supplies on several of these. The last couple had a new part number - hopefully they have changed the design for better long-term reliability.
