i changed the HDD and is showing a folder error, someone knows what is the correct procedure to in stall the HDD?... do i have to make any type of format? or install some kind of software? i have the service manual but there is no info. thanks!

I have not done a hard drive in the SCX5935
but just did one in a SCX6545 and these two are lot alike in panel operation

just bolted in and worked. I did use new OEM samsung must have come pre-formated

in the control panel there is a format command but like you I could not find any information on the hard drive change.

I just did a HDD the other day. Same deal. Fit it up. It works.

I did a re-format just to be thorough (and because it didn't fix my original problem). =^..^=
