I am trying to evaluate the dealer copy cost on Toners/IU's/M/A Kits, etc. for the TaskAlpha vs the NEC -Konica machines. At first glance, the Konica color models seem to offer a better Cost per copy, and the Konica seems to be even a better deal with installs using a lot of B&W.I am trying to set up guidelines for Monthly usage of B&W & Color, so that my salespeople will recommend the Konica box and at other levels we would recommend the TaskAlpha box. I hope this makes sense...

So you're a Konica dealer and a Kyocera dealer?
I thought "NEC" was Panasonic? Do you sell all 3 brands? Toner pricing is actually less expensive for the NEC version of the 500ci series? Be nice if the toners weren't key'd differently (i assume they are)? WEIRD This message has been edited. Last edited by: digitalsolutions, |

NW - I am a Kyocera - Copystar Dealer & a NEC Dealer. NEC markets machines made by Kyocera & Konica. I am asking for opinions about which Color machines are the better overall value on a Cost-per-copy basis, for Service & Supplies - Not the machine cost, the TaskAlpha or the Color NEC ( Konica ). Dealers whom market both brands understand my question when they are looking at the supply cost for the color units.

Email me and I'll send you Bulletin 1, which has all that info, for both the 400/500ci and the 250/300ci.
