this is a tough one. We have a 501 at a school that is putting out light copies. We have replaced the drum, MC, Developer, Developer Assembly, Laser, and HVPS. If we try to run a TCR adjustment we get an error6 which no one at Konica has heard of. We dumped toner directly into the developer and CQ came back slightly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It's been a while since I dealt with any Konica units, but I think I remember them having a user setting for toner conservation or economy mode possibly, I know the Kyocera systems have a "Toner Economy" setting that causes the unit to produce extremely light copies. The only other thing I can think of it to attempt to change the Developer Bias settings if you are able to see what happens with the light copy problem. Good Luck.
