I have actually done this in the past in our office, gone through all the calls in our system for a particular model and made a spreadsheet listing all the problems we’ve had and the solutions. It can be very helpful to look up a specific J-code on a 2310/3010 and see what all the fixes have been, I also included the part numbers for the parts that were used for that fix. In fact, we just used it today in the shop on a rebuild that was intermittently jamming in two different locations, looked on the list and it was the clutch on the AD-60, sure enough that fixed it. It was very time consuming and took a lot of effort to keep the list it up to date. More than I am willing to do on this web site at this time. Maybe there will be a way to incorporate something like this in the future.
I do encourage everyone to reply back to this message board and post what they find resolves their issues, for future reference. If you click on the “Find” tab you can do a keyword search on say 2310, and find all the messages that contain that keyword. You can also do an “Advanced Search” to narrow down your search results. Also if we use descriptive “Subject Lines” it makes the searches even more useful.
I am open to any other ideas or suggestions. I agree a database of information like this can be very useful and time saving in the field.
