i have a customer that prints PDF prints from web pages, there blueprint drawings and they will not always print, they are pretty large files, when you print a window pops up and starts counting useally to around 245 or so then it sends the job, and takes 30 sec. or so to print, if it prints, saving the doc. to the computer and printing does not change anything, PDL changes dont make a diff. the unidriver does not make a diff. anyone have any suggestions

Have him copy the file. If it takes 240 seconds explain data transfer rates. I know it's kind of apples to oranges, but it help put it in perspective to customers.

I had the same thing where we proved the 5035 was faster with large files, but still took some time.

try setting the form feed timeout to a longer setting on the copier, also check the host buffer setting this may not speed up the data transfer but your doc may print on a more consitante basis

i did not find a perfect solution, our customer is still using the kx driver. the winsteng driver did not have the option to use ledger paper and that what my customer is using, the winsteng driver seemed to print the doc a lot faster on legal i would try that first if you dont need ledger paper
