I have a 1020d printer that keeps jamming, both regular and duplex printing. I installed a new bias assy. pcb, which contains
the registration switch. The event log shows paper jam/duplex(02.11.49) and paper jam/printer unit(02.11.48). I think the
reg. switch took care of jamming in printer unit, but still jams when it goes to duplex. The paper gets to the nip of the
duplex roller then jams. Any known issues with jamming on this model?? Funny thing is, i left a loaner 1020d (lease trade
in) at customers location and they called that loaner jammed more then their machine. It jams in the middle of printer just
like their machine. Also, had another 1020d last year that customer complained of jamming, but never could find anything
wrong. We ended up selling them a new printer. To me it looks like an inherent problem with this model, but so far i get
no answers. My mita tech rep doesn't have much info on this printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I had a FS-C5016N jamming. I did a lot of things and the I went trough the drive section and found many 1-way-gears. After
soaked them in alcohol no more jamming. Maybe 1-way-gears can be your trouble..
About compromise... There's nothing in the middle of the road except yellow stripes and road kill. |
