Anyone else think that $83 is a bit much for a charge roller or that it has taken dealers returning the entire drum unit and causing massive back orders to finally fix the problem?

You don't need to send it back... Clean it with water!! Just regular tap WATER.. we tested it in the shop and it works...
They are all warranted for 12 months from the date of the tech bulletin.. You shouldn't need to buy any rollers for the the next 12+ months. Answering your question.. yeah .. its a little salty.. they have to make up for all the good drum units that were returned! ;-) Service Specialist CompTIA Certified A+ Technician Kyocera Color and B&W Certified Associate Degree in Specialized Technology: Computer Networking |

The bulletin was the purpose for the post. They actually fixed the mc problem but only after so many drums were returned it forced them into the mod. Ashame they can take our word for it and investigate the problem. Oh sure water will clean it but the problem comes back. Not a noob to charge rollers, Ricoh has been using them for over 10 years. If you send a drum unit back and the mc is defective they will kick back your warranty. Z No HOPE, just BROKE. Anyone else - 2012 |
