Having paper jamming as it comes out of the duplexer. Customer is using doc feeder, but not duplexing. It appears the paper is jamming at the turnover pulley (actually looks like a fat long feed tire) under the paper guide. When a jam occurs, it makes a 'free wheeling' noise. I'm thinking it is a clutch or oneway, but unable to figure out what powers that pulley.

Take that Pulley out. Clean the Japaneese ear wax out of the ends. Will solve problem.

The copier partially feeds the paper through the duplex to eject face down when using the DF. There is a guide that is moved by a solenoid right where you describe, and the linkage to the solenoid will break off so the guide won't shift to the correct position. The solenoid and linkage is in the front side and actually quite easy to see, but only if you know about it ahead of time. ================================================== Chris L's Hiking/Geocaching blog (new and improved!) yoyoartist.blogspot.com

Check the solenid in duplex it binds up and the black plate that is under the duplex feed roller wears out check both. I have replaced them for the same problem. Dulex tray is used when feeder is being used. Jamie Boudreau (AIRGOZ)
