customer called in stating that the machine was stating to load paper in mp tray. i verified that cassette 1 was default, but screen still showed load paper in mp tray. contacted tech support, they said to look at the zoom function and turn it to auto. i did. problem went away..or so i thought. when doing internal prints it would do the same thing. but copying and faxin was fine.

they called back today, machine is doing same thing (put paper in mp tray). any ideas?

Could the customer be sending A4 print jobs? If yes, enable Auto A4 to automatically substitute letter sized paper.

We've got a customer that does design work for Volkswagen, and all the documents are A3 or A4. =^..^=

I have a machine that does that for internal prints, but considered it a non-issue.

it is used for faxes and copies, on "ready" state, nothing happening, the screen shows letter and bypass as default on screen, even tho internally the cassette is set as default.

it was brought into the shop yesterday from the customer, so i'll be able to look at it closer this week.
