Ive got a unit in the field that the customer now wants to attach the 3000 finisher to. I got the finisher out there and they dont match up height wise. I have the casters on the finisher maxed, the levelers on the copier are all whe way up so both items are all the way to their limits. The copier is on the optional 3/4 500 drawers if that makes a diffrence. The finisher is short about 3/8s" to 1/4" All accessories are the "B" models.

Would you not put the casters on the copier down to make up the difference for being short?

Exactly. Raise one, and lower the other to meet at some middle point.

If we're just misunderstanding, you can do like I do on the VoyagerE OEM stands. They can sag up to 13mm. I took some scrap oak lumber and ripped it to thicknesses of 13mm, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, and 5mm. An 1 1/2" hole saw can be used to make 36mm disks. I cover one side with two-sided carpet tape, so the shims don't creep. Then measure how much additional height you need, and install shims onto the top of the stand/cassette base.

This works really well on the Voyager OEM stands, because the stand only sags with the copier weight on it. You can get the height exactly perfect. =^..^=

Sure you have bracket on door in right spot. Seems like theres two sets of holes and if I remember right I was able put on in wrong postion once myself.I think he means casters all the way up meaning there as close to body of copier as possible.

The copier is as low as it gets, the finisher is as high as it gets and in still facing a mismatch. I cant even get the finisher to latch to the attachment bracket. Its almost like the paper feeder is just a half inch too tall.

If I'm not mistaken doesn't that DF with that color Task Alfa's need a finisher kit to raise it up level? I'll have to see if I can look it up and maybe help you out.

Edit

Nevermind...you listed a 520i....which isn't color....ignore my post

The color does need a pedistal to get it to right height, this however is a b&w 520i.
