First let me say that Kyocera is now installing 2gb by default and this may not apply soon.....
But anyone with the machine now and needing the memory upgrade may be interested in this. The ram from Kyocera is in the area of $150 I do believe. But you can get it for far less, we do. http://www.crucial.com/store/p...imodule=CT12864AC800 It was $14.99 but recently changed to $15.99 but order 10 of the for the same price as one from Kyocera. Free shipping. Lifetime warranty. |

Be careful with non-buffalo memory! We almost lost a deal on 5 machines. We were using Memory Experts memory and it caused a problem in the 4500i-5500i. After scanning 30-40 pages it would slow down scanning and cause problems. After changing out all to Buffalo memory, and matching what was in machine, it solved the scan speed and bogging issue. Not sure why, maybe speed?

Hmm...
Never had a problem with crucial. I've put crucial into everything from printers and copiers to my personal gaming computers. |
