Ok im stumped. This machine runs perfect in simplex mode, when you run duplex the front side on the trail edge will have a 1" void area but the registration is not off just cuts it off on trail edge. also after about 5 copies duplexing it finally jams with a jam code 41..I've replaced the duplex unit, fusing unit, complete exit unit, registration roller, feed rollers, pf clutch. tried adjusting margins which it only cuts that one side off when duplexing. Machine has 600k and i've serviced it from the beginning so this just started happening. paper always stops 3/4 of the way out of the duplex. Only thing left i can think of is the reg. motor which im about to go change in a little while..
It's weird cause sometimes i'll have a 1 inch void, sometimes a 1/4 inch, sometimes perfect..like something is slipping but can figure what for the life of me..does it from both paper trays.All sensors seem to check in output, the spring on reg. sensor flag is in place, all motors sound strong in output check, and of course tech support couldn't come up with anything either..

Thats alot of copies. Have you replaced the registration sensor actuator. It may be worn down where the paper can miss it due to paper curling, bending ect. This can cause the reg roller to come on at the wrong time.

You know i replaced the reg. sensor wondering if it was flickering then when you suggested the flag it dawned on me that i've heard of it wearing down..Well you were spot on, that fixed it Thanks copymech, i was about to go crazy on this one
