I know the topic has been here before, but does anyone have experience using a non IMB or Hitachi notebook drives, or even a larger capacity drive for the print sytems on KM-3035's and KM-5530's? I was able to get an exact model 6gig drive about 6 months ago and it worked fine, but now the supplier can't seem to get them anymore.Anyone? Bueller?

I used a 20gig western digital harddrive that I bought in a local store. That was over a year ago and it's still going strong. Funny thing is KM charges $485 and I paid $70. Others on here say they have used even larger drives like 40gig. Just be sure to set the jumpers to "cable select".

If the machine already had a harddrive, the interface is there. If not, KM sells them, it's just a short IDE cable just like in your computer

I have used 20Gb CanRam drives from memory experts.
