I have a cs-5050 at a school that every morning when someone sends a print job or a copy job, the machine just sits there, and when you look in the status screen the job says waiting. When you turn the machine off / on the print job comes out and is fine the rest of the day. I formatted the hdd, replaced the 2 dimms and the memory. This machine has the small finisher on the side, they are also using acct codes. Any ideas thanks in advance tech
Wasn't there a firmware update for a problem with the machine not waking up right when it gets a job from a Mac? (Kind of assuming this is a Mac since you said it was a school)
Page 6-73, Advanced Op Guide. Set sleep mode to "OFF". These machines do not use a separate fax power supply. They will not shut off completely unless you turn off the main switch for that reason however they will go into sleep mode up to 240 minutes unless you turn that feature off. This message has been edited. This may sound crazy but the only other thing that pops out at me is humidity. Most schools I've been to (here in the deep south) are moisture traps. If the humidity sensor is trying to compensate for overnight moisture build up that may be a problem but you did mention there was another down the hall.

Jamie, they are using static ip, but this happens when making a copy also. 313ZD the function to turn off sleep mode was taken away in a firmware update a while ago
Is the machine in spec for control operation as far as Temp. In the morning, its a controlled enviroment, windows closed,no heat at night ect.? I'm just saying this because I had a 2550 give me problems in the morning but once heated up it ran all day with no problem? What I found in my case was moisture on the optics mirror,"my problem was a void area on the copy in the morning"This message has been edited. Last edited by: Skyshot1,
was a solution ever found? i have a similar issue with a km 5050 that after replacing the HDD for cfb31 the original is scanned but in job log it just says waiting firmware is up to date and new hdd is formatted and still in machine, can not get around the waiting message, job accounting is turned off as well
One thing I do when I have an odd problem with the 5050's and I usually do this first. Clean the bottom of the board on the OP panel!! There is a fan that blows dirt on the bottom of the board and I have had it cause all sorts of odd problems. Just throwing it out there but we have had some real stumpers and that is all it was.

Hi sorry to be a pain but did you end up resolving the j88 and c8050 error with the df 710 finisher. I'm having the exact same issue and would like to know if you resolved this issue . Any help would appreciated. Thanks Sam
