I have a taskalfa 221 that keepe getting a "PRINT MODE ERROR " message on screen when the customer prints to it, sporaticly, that message is not come up in the manual.. any ideas?

this is usually because they printing to the bypass tray. Go the print preferences, make sure it's not defaulted to bypass, if that's ok, go to page setup in the document they are printing, make sure that is set to pull from 1st tray.

I've also seen this happen when they are using a program that calls for envelopes automatically. The program settings will print envelopes using the address field in a letter. Drove me nuts with a 2550 until they changed the settings in the program and not in the printer driver. It was Microsoft Word. And Wordperfect will also have their own driver settings that override the defaults in the printer driver.

PRINT MODE ERROR means there is an error from a print job, and you should push the Printer button to see the real error. Along with different paper sizes above, I've seen it happen when it thinks the exit tray is full and needs to be emptied.
