Is there a way to have this machine default to Economy? My customer has to change the setting every use. I searched the op and service manuals but seem to be missing it.

I don't have a machine to check this but you can try a work around. Create a Program (P1) that includes this setting. At least, this will be easier for the user.

I tried turning this on on a FS-1118mfc (our equivelant to the 1820 i think) and it stayed on till I turned it off again not just for that job run. It was listed in the Advanced User Guide.

On the 1820 it resets after the time out period. I'll read the manual 1 more time. If not then I'll try the program button
