Hard disk is shot. It is a standard 2.5 inch IDE hard disk for laptop computers. I've installed replacement hard disks bought from the internet into the card in the past and it worked fine. (oops, too many prepositional phrases there) Actually, if you have a surplus ai-2310 or 3010 with the optional print hard disk installed, those 6GB units work very well if you format first on a PC using a USB hard disk enclosure.

Compact flash to IDE adapter works even better but honestly unless you are using the JOBO FRPO command the hard drive is pretty much useless compared to maxed out RAM drive, JMO. Z
