No fuser warm up, no main motor. We did some board swapping (observing tech bul # 4)with our demo machine. Swapped scan pcb, engine, rtc, pspcb. Each done one at a time. The other machine is still running. Our rep said it still was the scan pcb, so we ordered another, still same prob, never been able to change this symptom. Anyone see something like this? This message has been edited. Last edited by: DaveH,

check all your connectors on the front side of the machine, under the black cover with 2 screws under the panel, I think there is 3 of them, check pins etc, ya know what to do....
Had the same problem just last week. Ended up changing scan(main) pcb. Works fine now. I had already changed interlock switch and power switch. Good luck! It's a crap machine!

Scanner relay board is the one that when swapped causes a non resettable c95XX code. You have to send it to Japan for resetting or any repair for that matter. This is what I was thinking it was, but I'm told there's about a 7 week turn around time to get it svc'd in Japan, so I guess I'll wait for my rep.

The Federal Government doesn't like when you try to counterfeit money. Tell your customers that . If they say nobody was trying to copy money, they are flat out lying.
Kyocera has to notify the Secret Service of every instance of counterfeiting attempt, whether it's on a mediocre CQ machine like an 830 or not. That's not fun to do either.

Yup, been down that copying money road. customer denies it, but the other day I got a accidental confession, my customer is a realtor and from what I heard they are required by some comission to photo copy all transactions, including cash, and the comission dosent care, illegal or not, so from what i got, they tried to copy $1000 cash transaction, just before I went down the C9500 road!
DaveH, in your particular case, no. We are just saying that when it is necessary to have a Scanner Relay PCB reset in Japan, it is because of a C-95xx code that was generated by trying to copy currency, or similar documents, like bearer bonds.
With all that you have described, I'm stumped. In cases where I've had a bad Scanner Main, the symptom has not been a dead display, but just a lit up one, either with no information at all displayed, or a 'Please Wait' message.
