We recieved a copy star 5050 (A dealer split) and we are Kyocera dealer. Are the flashes and toner the same. What other problema will we run into.

I had heard that the toner had a different RFID sticker but have never checked this.
I am curious if the difference is in the firmware. With any luck you could change it's 'gender' with a firmware update.

I suspect it's just the destination setting in U265 that tells the machine what make it is and what rf chip to look for on the toner catridge.


I should have left it alone!

The machine was setup and no problems with the toner or flash. Thank you for the input.
