It's definitely not published in revision 2 of the user manual. I'm guessing it's related to the imaging unit, perhaps not installed properly or no toner cartridge installed, etc. The E-30 series of messages are all related to toner/imaging unit.

I ran a test with our inhouse machine. Pulled out toner cartridge and continued to make copies. 50 copies after "add Toner" came on E33 showed up. Replaced cartridge and code went away. So customers that say they change toner as soon as light comes on yet have a code E33 are lying. Wait, what am I saying? Customers never lie! copierdude
