Try cleaning the sensors on the PCB in the bottom of the copier. Remove the cover above the paper tray and carefully lower the board enough to blow out the sensors. To be safe you could remove the boards from the left side first since the bottom board is connected to the front one.

I have a couple with this jamming issue. I am trying the feed solenoid next. Of course they are on back order. I will recieve them on about Sept the 8th. I will post what I find.

I have had a couple that have done that. Try removing the registration roller from the machine and cleaning it found that it was powder coated white from all the paper dust. After I cleaned it have not had any call backs yet.

Yup, blow out sensors first, it's the easy option, then check the solenoid for the reg clutch, the noise dampening pad gets sticky, just peel off and clean with alcohol to get residue off, last is pop out reg roller and clean the rubber one, BE REAL CAREFUL, as the mount/holder is VERY easy to snap in two if it slips off the shaft, (learn from my fail)

$5 says it's the tray springs. Very common problem.

I have fixed J11s by tightening the sensor board from the bottom. The sensors can drop too low to be blocked. Tightening the screws moves them up just enough for consistent activation

So by tray springs, are you saying replacing them with the ones in link above? or stretching them ?

stretch them 1/4 longer, try to get reasonably even.
