Has anyone else had problems with the Falcon3 hard drive, i keep getting machines that lock up completely and shows hard drive icon and printer goes offline. Error log says 01.F620 for service code, code is not in the manual but i believe it is hard drive related.

Try running sim 989 scandisk.I have found that errors occur when customers switch machine off at the main switch before shutting it down on the ops panel. Also had to change memory dimm on main pcb for codes 01.F620, as the machine would lock up during copying and printing.Hope this is of some help to you.

This is an exact copy of a bulletin released in the UK..... "There have been reports of machine lockups and error codes occuring on these machines. The Operation panel freezes and the machine throws up different error codes. The only way to recover is to switch off/on. If trying to update firmware the machine does not recognise USB and memory sticks." "The panel code firmware DIMM and/or main code firmware DIMM is making poor contact. The panel DIMM sits underneath the operation panel on the front and the main DIMM is on the main controller PCB at the back. This can be caused by heavy 'shock' during use or transport." "It is highly recommnded to perform the following... 1. Remove both DIMM and blow air into contacts. 2. Clean the DIMM contacts with dry cloth or alcohol and re seat 3. Update or reload firmware again. 4. Format the HDD" That was the whole bulletin - it may help you. I wonder if users are banging the displays hard coz the response is so bad???!!! What do ya reckon?
