still haven't been able to hook up network connection, but prints fine using USB.

Try resetting the print board if you havent already.

Do you have a green light on the Network card? If so make sure you have TCP enabled in the interface setting. And make sure you do have a crossover cable and not a straight through. And is so try another cable.
