That's a communication error between the duplex PWB and the main PWB, and it's occurred 30 times in two weeks and 5 times in the last two days. At first I thought there might be a problem with the duplex drawer connector until it occurred to me that the duplex PWB isn't on the drawer. It's on the rear frame under the fuser drive assembly.
And that brings me to my theory. A few months ago the fuser drive motor pinion shaft and helical gear failed, creating a fine dusting of steel shavings over the duplex PWB. I cleaned up as much of the dust as I could, but did not touch the board. I believe that the steel shavings are creating unintended conductivity paths on the duplex PWB.
It will be interesting if this works. I took a soft brush and compressed air to remove as much of the steel dust as possible. Time will tell if it makes any difference. Have you seen anything like this? =^..^=

Blackcat I got the same thing right after doing a duplex feed roller and selenoid. It just happened today I'm going back tommorrow and will let you know what I find. Have you ever seen this after doing Duplex feed roller and selenoid ?? I went over my work and no pinched wires I don't know what to think at this point. I cleared the C 0460 now stuck in Jam 00
No, Skyshot, I don't see any connection to that parts replacement. Perhaps you've got a damaged modular connector to the duplex drawer? Perhaps there's a connector left unconnected on the duplex drawer? I inspected the modular connectors in my machine thoroughly and couldn't find anything wrong with them.
I've have (4) more occurrences of the code since I posted, and none in the last week. If I were you, I'd pull the back cover and look at the duplex PWB and fuser drive unit. =^..^=

I had a similar problem awhile back on a 8030. I shorted a wire in the #2 paper feed unit. After fixing the short I had to replace the paper feed pwb, Then I had to replace the DC Power supply. The DC power supply passed all checks and I couldnt pin point its failure but replacing it fixed my jam 00.
