Wow!! finally someone else on the same page!!! We are noticing bad power is affecting lots of units, especially the new 3035/4035/5035 and the new 9520. The new 9520 draws 11.4amps by itself, and the warmup is down from 60 seconds to 25. The only way to do this is draw more power!!! Add on finishers, fax boards, consoles, scanner cards, adf, etc. and look out..... I have had no less than 5 customers want replacement units in 2 months and when we check the power, the voltage may be ok but we see lots of bad grounds, and not enough current to run the electronics, giving intermmittant problems. We are now recommending 15 anp dedicated circuits on all installs. When the customer gives greif about the cost, we remind them they are usually spending 15-25,000 dollars for the unit, why not protect their investment with a few hundred bucks of good power. Purchase a good power line checker and it will save you lots of money in unneccessarily replacing parts and boards, and even machine exchanges. The big win is saving time. There is nothing worse than running back to the same grumpy customer over and over for something you cant normally see. hope this helps you and many others. Thumbs up

We use these power filters from the link below,
They come with a board warrenty if any board fails, even if its the techs fault. The link is a study done by a Kyocera dealer with this product.

power filters generally dont increase the amount of current provided to the machine...the protect from surges/brownout. These are usually wiring issues and dont fix bad grounds. Sure power filters are good for protecting your investment, but arent the b-all and end all of everything ...FWIW....
