KM-5035 Burning out Thermostat

Customer has this 5035 that I have put 9 thermostat's into it in the last 3 months. This is what I have done so far.
1 Installed new fuser
2 Installed new power supply
3 Installed new charge unit
4 Cleaned and check all fans
5 Firmware (main S1015s) (Printer 146.12)
any help would be appreciated.

Did you check the temp setting in M.M. Perhaps the temps are set too high,.

George I did Lower the temps in sim 161

Are they running alot of envelopes? If they are running any amount in bulk, it will cause this.

MB: their not doing envelopes but customer say's it seems to happen when they send a print job of 20 pages or more. Also can anybody explain sim U962 setting fixing unit type? This copier is set to 1.

This was a pretty common issue back in the 5035 series heyday. Every machine that I ever serviced for this issue, I replaced the 160C thermostat with a 190C thermostat out of a 2530/3530/4030/9100/9500 series with zero problems thereafter.

How clean is their power? Sure test their outlet or check for high draw items on the same circuit. If new fuser did not fix it and they are not running envelopes, then I would check for dirty power. These fusers do not like noisy circuits nor do they like soda machines, microwaves and the like.
