History, call for blank screen, tech found that opening front door made screen image come back on, would go to ready then right to C0640, they changed the door switch in hopes of a simple short like in the past.

SO, now CF14F codes, still door closed no screen, door open and you get the screen back, then he replaced the HDD with one from another machine, it worked, he ordered a new HDD for it and then installed the new one since the one we tested with had to go back. Now with the new HDD it is back to the first problems, with new errors as well.

Random CF14F-C6000-C3100s.

Tried 2 other HDD and no change, been checking for shorts, replaced every board, almost every wire harness including the switch harness.

Changed opp panel. Changed all the switch's and even laser units.

Someplace a short must exist, I'm must be missing something so simple, any ideas?

Thanks for any help or thoughts you can share.

Take care guys.

Ended up being two pins crossed on the connector for drawer 2. We were certain it was a hard drive issue because the first tech swapped the hard drive with another machine and it worked, little did he realize at the very same time that drawer was out of the machine. Then he installed the new hard drive along with putting the drawer back in, and then it didn't work, so I have been trying to trace what ever I was sure they had pinched or bent someplace. A great man named Alex traced the short, boy theirs nothing like jumping into a machine when your not the one who started with its first issue, good day.
