We have a Cs-4050 in the office of a customer who scans a lot of big files (60-100 pages). They use a third-party blank page removal tool for scans. When they scan these large files, sometimes the machine only seems to send, for example, 60 of 80 pages and the rest disappears. The pages scan, but they aren't sent. I have replaced the hard drive, the memory DIMM, even the Document Feeder for the possibility of multi-scanning due to lack of separation. No luck. Anyone have any ideas?
Not new, but new pulleys. While I'm discussing this, I hope this doesn't sound dense, but I can find no reference in the manual to explain it. When scanning, does the data go to the herd drive and then to the network, or to the page memory DIMM to the network? If I am missing this in the manual, can anyone tell me the page number?
are they scanning to email? Is the machine set to B/W as a default or color? Sometimes the large files will not transfer due to time out issues because they are so large, specially when they are "color" scans.
