Re: Jam 45’s (jam code 45) occur when duplexing any paper size other the 11 X 8 ½ a possible solution would be to adjust Simulation 53 (Eject motor speed fine adjustment selection) from the default of –0.5 to 0.5. This should provide more paper slack (loop) during the second side refeed process.

It's been a while since I've been in that mode. But I would assume that EJE means "Eject"... so, I would answer YES to your question. But due to the lenghth time since I've made the adjustment, I recommend referencing the service manual for details on the simulation.
