Hey all,

We have a customer with a CS 1810. That was a A400/C400 code. THe book says its either a Polygon Motor or a Power Board problem. Have you guys seen this error before and if so which of the two is the most common problem.

I've seen enough polygon mirrors fail in other models that I wouldn't think twice about one failing in an 1810. Take out the laser unit, open it up, and try twirling the polygon mirror by hand. If it is OK, it will spin freely with zero friction. If it feels stiff or spins with some noticable friction, it is bad.
