Had a customer change the IP address on the controller and after a reboot it came up with, and is stuck on a white screen. You can hear the machine running. Did the HDD take a dump and is in need of replacing? Or, is there a more obvious fix? The display panel was changed shortly after install for a bad cable.

Sounds like the controller is not booting. Often caused by bad power supply inside the controller computer case. It is a standard off-the-shelf computer power supply.

I'll give it a try. Had one go bad before, but it was still under warranty. Have you ever had to replace the small p/s outside the case?

had this happen on several machines, one cause could be the power relay board for the power supply in the controller. another could be the hard drive, or the power supply in the controller itself, also had a motherboard cause this issue.one way to check is to plug the controller straight into the wall using a standard pc power cable. if it boots and youll know this by the bios startup beeps then its not the controller and you should replace the power relay board in the compartment to the right of the controller box near the exhaust fan.

That's the one I'm thinking of. Had to replace it on one machine for a white display. Thanks. I'll post the result.

There are several types (so I'm told by our parts manager). Any idea which one?

Also, this is a KM-3650W not a KM-4850W..

Sorry, I don't recall the specs
Best I would recommend is to go pull it out and take it to your nearest computer store (or your parts guy) for a like replacement.

I have had this on several machines, take the cover off on the back of the machine and look inside the controller while the machine boots up, you should see the red lights on one of the brd.s turn on, if not then its either a bad power supply in the controller, or a blown fuse on the relay brd. to the right of the controller, could be both, seen that once. Its a possible HDD but usually i've got the machines to boot up but they will hang up in the middle of it, but there would be something on the display. Hope this helps.
