First off, I have no clue about this machine.

The TRAIL of the original is getting jammed in between the platen glass and adjacent plastic cover.

Manual says the RADF6 works by pulling the original backwards a little bit before coping. So I think that mechanism is over driving.

Any insight or easy fixes?

Thanks in advance.

if i remember correctly adjust the sol. that moves the paper size indicator up and down next to the glass. i think i used to hold the soleniod in with one hand and push down the indicator plate down with the other. im suprised your not writing in about over toning with this machine

That is how the RADF-6 really works. It feeds the trailing side past the original size indicator plate, then reverses drive to run it up against the plate. The idea was to help fix skewing issues which plagued previous RADF models.

If my memory serves right, I think the first course of action to fix is to replace the belt since it is slipping a little feeding in, then the reverse drive kicks in when the original is not far enough away from the original size plate. I believe there is a simulation for adjusting leading edge registration, but my memory does not get more exact than that. It could even be a VR or DIP switch adjustment that I don't remember.

Yeah. Lead edge registration was sim 52. It stops the original on the platen so lift the RADF carefully to see where it stopped.
