We are having a problem with this model where the customer will be scanning to PC and immediately after will try to return to copy mode and the machine will not go there. The copier will double beep when the copy button is pressed, and about the only way to get back is to power down and bring it back to ready to copy. Dimms have been changed, memory added, hard drive changed, and HD formatted and data put back in manually. Really a vexing problem, anyone got an idea? Thanks.
Have any luck with this yet ? We have one that does the exact same thing. We've done memory and just did dimms today. Not feeling too confident its fixed though after reading your post. Hope somebody will come up with something, thinking might go with main board next.

Where is the machine scanning to, SMB or email? Let it sit for 15-20 minutes and what code does it give?
We had a similar problem during certain times of the day. We changed the scan location from the server to a workstation and the problem went away. Something on the server was causing the machine to lock up and eventually it gave a code.

Update on this problem. We installed a loaner KM-4050 and after a couple of weeks, it has locked up also. beginning to wonder if the scan location is relevent as Kyocerapro suggests. Any thoughts?
do you have arp and rarp turned off, have you tried a static IP address that is much greater than the rest of the people. I have had a Task Alfa locking up and traced it back to their Router.
On a falcon 2 i had same problem at five oclok machine will no work, it was something on the server doing it. i uncover it with my lap top. just an idea. ML.
