i replaced the sensor and it still will not shut off, when you boot up the machine the led on the job seperator is off, when a paper is put into the job sep. the light comes on and then will not go out.. its not to big of a deal but the customer wants it to work right. could it possibly the led itself?
We had this problem on several copiers. It seems the LED sensor is too sensitive.Soo we used a little dab of white-out on one side of the sensor.Works every time.
one more repair to this that was the easiest, was to color in the pad with a sharpie and the LED goes right out. noticed that over time they tend to gray-out and the sensor thinks there is paper still in the tray.
