Just asking about Taskalfa 400 & 500Ci products being used at dusty construction sites.Anyone have any issues or concerns as I have a 400 ci installed in a compound trailer where heavy equipment is causing lots of dust. Its only two weeks old but I don't expect it to last as a two year rental. Just looking for others who may have installs like this. Thanks Ed
I had one in a building during a 3 month remodel with very poor dust protection for the room that it was in. Didn't see any problem that I could identify but your situation seems like it might be a real problem. Probably should be sure to tell them about the laser window cleaning in System Menu, Adjustment/Maintenance section. That helped me out on a KM-C3232 this week. Maybe also set the machine to shut down into energy saver almost immediately so the fans stop right away. Good luck.

Have one, an 1820 though, in an office of a cement plant, the winter months/wet months weren't too bad. The dry summer months were the worst, always cleaning the optics and the feed tires of cement dust. Finally convinced the company to move it back into an office that was farther from the main in and out door. Haven't hardly had a call on it since, or they got rid of it and went with somebody else.
Have a 4050 that is in a welding shop, red dust coats the machine as I am changing out the main charge for black copies. I put another dust filter in front of the dust filters that Kyocera provides in the bypass. I have the customer blow them out once a week to try to keep the inside of the machine nice. I have a Task Alfa the customer took it off of maintenance and every time we get a good rain he gets an inch of water in his office. No calls yet but when the machine takes a crap he can probably buy a new one when he sees the bill.
