I have a C3225 leaving color backgroung streaks like bad drum wiper blades or dirty charge rollers. I have cleaned both and the problem goes away for 25,000 prints and then comes back. Has anyone else seen this problem.
I have had several machines do the same thing. Talked with our KM rep., he said there may be an updated drum unit with a different waste auger. The auger is supposed to be larger and will remove the waste toner better and not build up and cause streaks. Not sure of the number but hopefully if the drum unit is ordered KM will send the updated one. I agree with Gazoo, order new drum units and send the old ones back!

Along with this is updated firmware. In low color use machines it is more of a problem, so the newer firmware is supposed to put a toner band on the drum to keep the blade and auger system working properly. Shaker, what is the b/w to color copy ratio?
I've got two C3232E giving cyan streaking toward the center of the transfer belt. When you remove the transfer belt you can see the residual cyan toner on the belt. This occurs when making a monochrome Black copy. It looks like the auger system for the belt is backing up, but we have noticed a toner build up on the drum units too. We replaced the transfer belt assy about 28 days ago and the problem disappeared. But it came back yesterday. We're in a high humidity area and the auger system appears to be clumping and not driving the toner into the disposal tank enough. Test copies of cyan solid copy show no streaks or banding and the developer units are new.
guys ... don't forget the charge rollers, i found that they get flat spot on the round layers which can also create the same symptoms...just my two cents...
white bushings in the developer units crack, causing these streaks or lines. Replace all developer units, they are of course under warranty.. Good luck. We have changed all dev units on basically all of our color machines in the field.
