Two long elastic bands came apart inside the transfer belt. Have anyone repaired this?.

Looks like they are glued to the outer edge inside the belt.

I had to run the machine after pulling them out and it ran fine, but I think something will fail soon.

Thanks in advance!

Why not order one and send the defective one back to Kyocera?

Yes, installed felt.

Luckily there was no tearing, just saw odd bulges in the belt. Took it out and found two long elastic bands inside. Oh well, I'll just replace it. Thanks tho.

I've seen this happen on two TASKalfa's and 5 or 6 VoyagerE's. Only one of those machine was still running by the time I arrived. Usually you get jamming between the registration roller and the secondary transfer roller. I've also seen color registration issues. In one case there were holes worn through the belt where the edge rubber was bunched up underneath. =^..^=

It is not repairable and those bands keep the belt from sliding off the unit. Replace it.

I've replaced several transfer belts over the past year with that same problem, but it has usually only been 1 of the rubber bands. I haven't had any issues with Kyocera with a warrenty return.
