Taskalfa 400ci stuck in Welcome screen, cycle power and shows c codes like: F1BC, F348, F526, CF247 or F000. Disconnected HDD, let the machine code 0640. Connected HDD again, reloaded firmware and machine will boot up after restoring data from HDD. It will work for 30 or 45 minutes then it locks up again. Hotline grumpy guy had no idea about c codes meaning and blame me about HDD, called back and another guy told me to order DIMM code pcb. I just installed it, we'll see if it works.

Wonder if somebody had a similar problem..

PS
I performed HDD format and the machine told me to cycle power. Is that quick?

We just had a new 400ci right out of the box doing the same thing, stuck in warm up and will not flash firmware. I ended up pulling the dimms out a couple times and cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser and putting back in and it worked fine. Removing the dimms will cause the exact same sympton.

I'd try replacing the Hard drive. I've seen the Falcon III's go 'crazy' like you're describing from it.

Relax? When?!

We replaced the DIM per the hotline and also swapped out the 2gb memory stick. Have HDD coming in today and will replace those.

Well replaced the HDD, reflashed v6 firmware and still having problems. Reflashed back down to 5.01 per rep and nothing. Cleaned the Dimms on the back as well as replaced the 2gb memory stick. Rep can't come out till next week and I got a pissed off cutomer.

There's something you can try...

I had a CS-250ci that totally lost power during a flash. The engine firmware was corrupt, and it would not flash successfully without errors, regardless of what version.

The hotline sent me a special set of files that just flashed the engine firmware only to 5.0. Then I could do the Combined flash to 5.0, then the Combined flash to 6.0.

You're welcome to the files, just PM me an email destination.

Oops! The CS-400ci doesn't use the same engine firmware as the CS-250ci. Maybe the hotline can help you with this? =^..^=

I presume this is OK now. I have had a 500ci stuck on the welcome screen. Fixed though, Just a partial boot from the operation panel and new firmware dim then a firmware upgrade.

Yes, if it's working correctly. Unplug the HDD and see if you get a change. I had one (250) stuck, thought I had a bad HDD, unplugged it and got a HDD error at bootup. Ended up being the Main PCB

No HOPE, just BROKE. Anyone else - 2012
