I have similar problem with a 400ci. Customer is printing 11x17 full color and the machine is constantly adding toner and calibrating. Maint mode 156 is set to default. it takes 3 hours to print out what used to take 1 hour on their old panasonic. machine has less than 3k on it using latest firmware and new print driver posted on ftp.kmaconnect.com

I just started recommending the TaskAlpha Color to Churches running Bulletins and Newsletters. I guess this might be a mistake, if this calibration function keeps popping up, and the machine runs so slow. I thought the FS-C8500 matched with a CS-300/400Ci would be a good combination for a Mid-Size church. I am using a FS-5016 in my office and I get frustrated printing one page out and I get this message. Can anyone tell me if this is common, or in these issues mentioned in this thread, the customer has a lot of coverage on the page? Does the slow print appear if the document is only B&W?

TonerDog: Why would you NOt put the TaskAlpha in a Church environment? What issues will the machine develop? Does anyone else have an opinion on thsi type of installation?

I am glad your having good luck
But we have had replaced countless developing units
fusers, dv and drum motors, transfer belts.
The most persistant thing is black dv units over toned droping toner, we have had our regional rep here, and japan engineers here
