what kind of experiences with the FS-C5030 are you all having? I am considering selling one to a client and wanted some input. There isn't much on this site and generally no news is good news but I thought I'd ask. Thanks for your input

We have a few of the FS-C5030 out and they are doing OK. I had a few comments about the color not being the sharpest, but print quality is in the eye of the beholder. I thought it looked fine, Business Quality Color, not Graphic quality. They have been pretty reliable, knock on wood...

They are still bags of spanners! Wait till one of the led heads goes,($600!), or worse what we have seen twice now, a multiple cascade failure of one led taking out another, then another, finally ending at the driver pcb. Or the mysterious bad DV units that crap out way before target. Km actually took one back because it was such a piece of crap. Now the new 5100 line looks promising,(laser driven), but have yet to see one.All in all, i would rather see an HP or Lexmark in the low end color range, they just work.

We have had several of the FS-C5030's in the field with good results. One has over 300,000, we did the PM Kit at 200,000 and just recently had the K drum fail, but the others seem fine. Color quality is much better on the new series than on these older machines. Much like the color quality difference between the Voyager series and TaskAlfa's.
