Thanks. I have never run into that before.Had two machines in the same bld. One was the 5550ci and other a task 8000i. The customer did some networking on the weekend. Some of the defaults were changed too.They said they reset the whole system. Maybe this caused it?
I've had this happen to two previous Taskalfa colors and running 906 fixed both of them. I did reset time but the T went away after 906 then I set the time.

These are the notes I have on this. We have seen this on both color and B/W.
"Time for maintenance T" displays after C0840:
When you replace the Main PCB, the C0840 code triggers. (RTC error) Please enter U906 Function reset) and turn Main SW OFF/ON then enter current Date/time under Date/Timer in the System menu.
Apparently there are other triggers for this code.
